I got into anime when I was around 12 years old. A friend showed me Naruto and I remember thinking — this is nothing like the cartoons I grew up watching. The story actually went somewhere. Characters grew up, made mistakes, lost people they loved. I was hooked.

Growing up in Kathmandu, finding anime wasn't always easy. I used to download episodes overnight on slow internet just to watch them before school. Dragon Ball Z, Death Note, Bleach — I watched everything I could find. Those late nights watching anime are some of my best memories.

Over the years I've watched more than 300 series across every genre. I've cried at Clannad: After Story more times than I'm willing to admit. I've stayed up until 4am finishing Hunter x Hunter. I've recommended anime to friends and family and watched them fall in love with it the same way I did.

I started AnimeOnline because I wanted a place that gives honest, straightforward information about anime — no fluff, no clickbait. Whether you've never watched a single episode or you've seen everything on MAL, I want this site to be useful to you.
